Twice in recent days I have had an odd fault.
Pull into garage for diesel after about 10 mile rural drive : start up to leave and engine revs just a noticeable bit higher and injector light comes on.
First time it happened drove on (30 miles) panic stricken waiting for problem. Light stayed on but no prob developed.
Journey home (hours later) light was out & no prob.
Couple of days later, identical situation, identical symptoms & identical result.
Question : 1. is this a symptom of a developing problem and action required ?
2. What's the cause ?

Thanks as always.

You will have to get it on diagnostics and see what comes up it will have stored the fault. Possibly fuel quantity servo.

Thanks wammers.
What's the fuel quantity servo and where is it ?

In the pump. It moves the control collar along the pump piston to regulate fuel quantity. Have you checked all the connections to the pump are clean and making good contact. Check lamp coming on is usually a sensor problem. You need diagnostics to give you a clue which one.
