If Nanocom operates it but switch doesn't then the problem is somewhere between switch and BECM.
Thanks, next job is fetching that switch pack out then. On a lighter note, the replacement reverse camera turned up and is fitted and working well.
Hopefully going to start printing off the workshop manual tonight, I can't be doing with looking at it on my phone. I think I saw stuff showing what ECU pins did what on there.
Also the upgraded regulator for the alternator has turned up, I checked the output this morning, 13.7v, will check again when it's been replaced.

Fixed me sunroof!:D.
It was the switch.
I read martyuk's post (sorry dunt know to do a link but a search brings it up)
You are supposed to trim off the little pips of plastic securing the switch to the board and keep them for welding back on using a soldering iron. You can see the pips on the other switches, mine shot off somewhere and I only found 2 of the 8:oops:I didn't take many pics as it's all on his post.
However, I have a couple of tips .A plastic clip works well at holding the switch tight up against the board whilst you 'weld' it back in.

and an old door card stud off me tratter was used as filler rod to weld the switch back in. Seems to hold it well, time will tell of course. The switch body itself looks like it might be meaty enough to take some tiny screws from the pip side into the switch but I was worried about trying that.
My sunroof now works as it should and I've got the tilt function back too, before, it just went backwards and forwards, then just backwards. Rewarded it with a good clean and lube:)

@brianp38dse fitted the new alternator reg today that you linked to , before was 13.7v now 14.6v:D.
The sunroof switch repair has failed again:(..I didn't put that much effort in to cleaning the contacts though as I was convinced it was toast and was expecting to have to source a better one, I was surprised it worked so just 'welded' it back on while the going was good. I'll probably strip it again and have another go at some point.

Glad to be of assistance and it worked, i seem to remember your switch pack was also missing a bit on the mirror adjust slider:D

Fixed the sunroof switch (again) but put in more effort this time:rolleyes:.
Spent a while with electrical contact cleaner and cotton buds polishing the contacts. Even though they looked pretty spotless I got some muck sticking to the buds, new sellotape and rewelded the bugger back on and it all works again. :)

Also fixed the water in the spare wheel well problem. The top part of the upper tailgate seal has sort of stuck itself to itself:rolleyes:. So it wasn't sticking out all proud and erect but squished flat:cool:.

Oh.. thought it looked a bit naff and not in keeping with its image of a prestigious vehicle.
Anybody got a spare one? Does it just push on or is a complete new switch needed?

I did mine on my old engine (in the garage) didn't take too long and made a big difference. Just bloody awkward to do in situ.
Just bought a new one to swap out as this alternator is original 12 - 13.5v max. Mains on and it drops to 12
A new regulator will up the voltage of your old alternator.
