Contact cleaner has arrived so I've given the obd a dose. Whilst my head was under there I noticed a light for the footwell which wasn't working, didn't even know it was there:oops:. Bulb changed and all good. Also noticed the passenger side kick panel wasn't fixed in properly, just a screw missing, behind it I found an add on live and earth with the live heading to the rear under the sill covers somewhere, it's dead so didn't investigate further. I also found a coaxial cable cut off which turned out to be the other end of the rolled up coaxial cable stuffed under the centre console. So I've pulled it out.

anybody know what this might have been for? This is also a round on/off rocker switch ,someone has drilled a hole above the front passenger headliner:mad: near to the windscreen Piller and fitted it there, no wires to it. I suspect that they ran wires down the Piller and those live/earth wires I found behind the kick panel went to that switch.o_O

Wireless reversing camera (with the smashed clear lens cover) is not repairable.

it's all one moulded piece.
If it was £500 for a new one I would find a way:rolleyes: only £14 though so I've splashed out:D

The missus has got fed up with me fiddling with the RR and not tarting up the campervan for sale so she's stuck it up for sale as is.
Can't get the RR in the garage till that's gone. If it sells I'll get her over the pit( the RR not the Doris) and start a list of bits to buy. Then mot time:confused:.

OBD = oh, bugger
If it's been stood for years it may just need a coat of looking at and lubricating if you're lucky.

No. I'm sure there was something else and I have a feeling it was after using the key that someone else had the issue. Maybe you back it iff a turn ir something? @Saint.V8 or @backinblack would remember if they can think that far back to owning a p38.

You have to turn the key back a bit to re engage the gears, done that, it opens fine but won't close again, so out with the key again and repeat.
I think, from reading search posts, that it might be the switch in the consul, believe it's called the switch pack? and it's (almost) unserviceable.

Bin fiddling again. :):).
The narrower rear seat wouldn't come back up when folded, it would once or twice after a couple of dozen trys but something obviously wasn't right. Reading the handbook it says the base has to be down fully before the back will come up. I took the plastic trim off that covers the floor locking mechanism and apart from lots of fluff it was corrosion free, cleaned it up and lubed and it worked fine. Put the trim back on and it stopped working again:mad: trim off and it was fineo_O. The trim was 'just' stopping the seat base from going down far enough but the trim couldn't be fitted wrong and the carpet was clear so I was a little confused. I peeled back the carpet and found a tiny cap nozzle off a aerosol can under there:rolleyes:. Works great now:).
Also noticed the headrest on that seat wouldn't adjust and was jammed, then noticed it was back to front, dished padding facing the tailgate not the front:mad:. No amount of tugging would free it, even removed the leather cover and the carpet board on the back of the seat but there is no access to the mechanism:mad:.
Does anyone know how to free the headrest?
I do now;).
:D:D:D.

Bit of side to side rocking whilst pressing the release catch and pulling up at the same time,

The campervan sold to the first to see but can't collect for a few days, RR should be over the pit this time next week then the fun starts:D

I did say they are selling well atm:D
there is a leed time at dealers to collect caravans and campers as they cant get stuff through the workshops for predelivery as they are so busy, thats if they can get the stock, caravans and campers have gone up in price quite a bit.

I believe they can be opened and the switches fixed sounded a bit fiddly but doable, I just remember a fred were the late Wammers and Data were discussing it. but cant remember if it was inside another fred or a standalone 1.

Playing with the nanocom:rolleyes:.,.
Not straightforward is it...
103 faults, don't know what they were, just cleared them.
I'm just remotely testing stuff at the moment, watching the mirrors and stuff working is cool:cool:.
Getting lots of 12v in green colour and GRD (or was it GND:rolleyes:) also in green, is that good? Does stuff go red when stuff is, well...stuffed:D.
Also found this screen and the warning scared me:(
Should I/must I unlock to test or check stuff?
