Hi guys.. great! had the injector light come on .. intermittently.. and then poor starting in the mornings .. loss of power suddenly ect.. so reading other threads its the injector pump?..fantastic!!.. so what i need to know now is what are my realistic options.. is it best to get my pump reconditiond? if so dose any one know a repubtale pump recon place in the southwest... funny tho it never happens when the cruse is on.... thanks stu..

If there is no noticable drop in speed when the cruise control is on and the injector light doesn't come on I would be surprised if its the pump. It sounds more like an electrical gremlin elsewhere, I'm not sure if the 98 has one so dont quote me but it could be as simple as a faulty MAF sensor. Could be a glitch in the ECU but plugging it in will surely tell you.
