confused:my disco 1991 3.9v8 turns over but wont fire had aa out and they said we needed a new dizzy rota arm and leads got em and fitted them and she still wont fire up anyone got a clue

tested spark plugs they ok but put new ones inn,easy start down aie in take,and still wont start gunna try a new coil on monday.just thought you might know no need to be a dick

You haven't given us any clues. Have you done a search?
Do you know if this is an ignition problem or an injection problem. Have you run standard ignition tests? (search!!!!!!!!!!)

are you running lpg or petrol?
ide find out which bores are firing, take the plugs out hold em against the block while they are plugged in and watch for spark, if you find some not working, trace it back. if non its further back.

we have a disco 1991 3.9v8 we went to york on monday last week and she was fine all day we went to mothering laws as ya do lol and we went to tescos about 9pm was still fine we went to go home about 10:30 and she would turn over but wouldnt fire up.called aa out and the guy said it was arking out on the cilinder head and told us we needed a new dizzy and rota arm and leads we got the on tuesday and fitted them and she still wont fire.anyone have a clue if the aa guy over looked anything

yes mate gunna try a new coil tomorrow to me its like theres no fuel getting in she also lpg its just been one thing after a other as of late she just had new gearbox and been off the road for 3weeks i think shes just having a fanny fit ya know what woman are like lol ha ha

I just changed plugs, dizzy cap and spinny thing inside the cap.... and still no fire.

Probably best to pop over to 'Introduce yersen' section and .....errrrm....introduce yerself and yer Landy. It'll save you grief later.
Then, after a good read of the V8 section and if you dont find the answers you need post a new thread with your problem.....
