Part number is correct, I have microcat and vin, cannot go wrong.
Seems to be fine now after a fill. If things don't improve will move it a bit maybe the arm is not properly "seated".
Thanks

Does anyone know where the inlet manifold temperature sensor is? I can't seem to find it.

I think it's this one, will have to remove half stuff to get there.

this is weird. I can feel the space there, but sensor is missing.
no connector either.
was this moved at some point after a vin? delphi clearly reports the temperature.

Does that temperature change, or could it be a dummy value the ECU is using when it can't find a sensible reading from the missing sensor?

Did not. It's not where that youtube video shows. Could be integrated in map perhaps...

Light bulb, may be able to check part numbers on mine vs kv6.
Meanwhile maybe @andyfreelandy who knows.
I believed working from home might allow me to squeeze some carwork but busy as hell these days and by the time I finish it's night.

KV6 and 1.8 have the same map part number, which is MHK100820L
Both engines have IAT pn listed.
Worse is there is no revision of the sensor on either like after vin, which means from what I see it's the same PN across all years, unless the sensor already had the temp capability was just software engaged after a while.

So this is a challenge. Haynes shows it in cyl 4 inlet manifold. My car has a blank there, like yours. Sensor is available and so at least some models had a separate air temp sensor.

Keep hunting, anyone else know the answer to where the illusive air temp sensor is on a 1.8k??

Not too many places really... problem is that requires stripping most parts in that area.
I might be able to do that this weekend since I am replacing timing belt and complete manifold with injectors, gaskets etc.
Depending on the weather.

Earlier K1.8 did have a separate IAT sensor, as I've checked on an earlier manifold.

Looking at the newer MAP sensor, it has 4 terminals, suggesting it's a combination unit (a MAP sensor only needs 3 terminals). The bottom sensing section has a shroud, which again is the same as an IAT sensor. A MAP only sensor just has a short stub with a hole for sensing the pressure. So going on logic alone, the sensor design and 4 terminals does suggest it's a combination unit .

This is proved as I know the KV6 uses a combination MAP / IAT sensor, so it seems the later K1.8 also went over to this unit, hence the same PN, and lack of IAT sensor in the inlet manifold.

Can any of you guys guide me on PROPER coolant bleed/replacement I can only get bits of it. Please...
Changing time belt and inlet manifold with gasket this weekend and don't want to mess it up I know how easy it is to blow this engine with improper coolant refill...
