Does anyone know where the inlet manifold temperature sensor is? I can't seem to find it.
That's it.
It is on the KV6. I can't remember the what the late 1.8 K uses, and I sold mine, so can't check now.Could be integrated in map perhaps...
Earlier K1.8 did have a separate IAT sensor, as I've checked on an earlier manifold. My car has a blank there, like yours. Sensor is available and so at least some models had a separate air temp sensor.
Looking at the newer MAP sensor, it has 4 terminals, suggesting it's a combination unit (a MAP sensor only needs 3 terminals). The bottom sensing section has a shroud, which again is the same as an IAT sensor. A MAP only sensor just has a short stub with a hole for sensing the pressure. So going on logic alone, the sensor design and 4 terminals does suggest it's a combination unit .Keep hunting, anyone else know the answer to where the illusive air temp sensor is on a 1.8k??
Why thank you.Nodge gets the cookie!!
I do try.Well described.
So far, so good. This isn't over yet though.Hope all is well?!?!
