The FTRR definitely stands out in interior quality in comparison to the D5 , do also like the D5 but wow the FFRR is gorgeous

Not sure about the interior colour of the D5 , this one comes with the ie6 petrol supercharged and wonder of it’s the same fitted in the frrr

Sorry as I’m waffling as per usual 🤣

About as much like a Disco as the new Defender is to the original. No longer a utility vehicle.

That’s a very good point of where they’ve e come so far away from the original concept

Think the last one is the discovery 4 seeing it has a very large loading capacity plus actual dials instead of multiple screens

Seen a good few sell there new defender and go back to a D4

Out of the 2 itd be the FFDisco for me, pains me to say but it’s got better RR styling (slightly) less freelanderley

There does seem to be an increase of companies importing more petrol D4’s from Japan , either with the 5.0 na of the 3.0 supercharged engines , this company claims to have already replaced the chains , tensioners and cooling pipes

Good video of the underneath and looks immaculate

alas though a huge issue with the many land rovers is the keyless entry systems , know jlr are doing updates but then of course u have the 4 4 warriors that slash ur tyres or key it

Was generally scrolling as u do and saw this, thought what a gorgeous colour and interior, still with actual dials 🤣 , 8 x speed and the very nice tft display which I’ve seen on some models where u can have the sat nav display in full display mode

Looking through the petrol models I didn’t realise some have a 3.0 v6 supercharged engine , wonder if that’s the same that fitted in the D5 as head there suppose to be one the very good engines

Of course well out my price range but just though how extremely nice it was

Do think the FFRR styling looks considerably nicer than the RRS, plus often wondered if the monocoque design has alot less rust issues over the earlier chassis and body design on the D3/4 etc

That is indeed a pretyy beastie 🚘💖

Moved one back a bit on the drive to allow easier access to garage !!

Yesterday, was in a 2024 Audi A6 rental car my son got from the insurance after his Jag was hit in the rear. Interesting bit was we were on the M4 heading to Bracknell, but the Audi Sat-Nav was a bit confused. It thought we were near Wellingborough & at 10000 Feet.

Some twonk in a van going too fast down a narrow country road smacked my os door mirror sending the glass through my open window on to my lap. Casing is scuffed but otherwise OK, just a new mirror glass needed. Mine are heated so I've discovered (dhse) so ordered a new heated one off ebay (£18), that came sharpish and with the roundy squarey thing that apparently breaks easily included too, didn't come with the two plastic straps, anti vibration I believe, that fit to the back of the glass and fit into two slots in the casing so have to use the old ones, they just clip into the mirror glass. Then spent way to long trying to figure out how to refit the glass so went to Google. A thread came up from landyzone saying to fit the roundy squarey thing to the casing then hook the mirror glass to that. Tried that for way to long again with no success, I would say it's impossible. Did another Google and a video came up from powerful uk(got my walnut auto gear knob and led boot light off them) showing to fit the roundy squarey thing to the back of the mirror glass first then clip the mirror over the corresponding round bit in the casing, took about 30 secs to fit.
Jeez, they get pretty hot don't they!, roll on frosty mornings! Think I'll buy another one for the ns now.
Working AC, working hrw, heated windscreen and heated mirrors and seats should see early winter start ups a lot more pleasant, although I don't use the heated seats.
Only issue I had was the mirror terminals were smaller so I had to solder on some suitable ones to the existing mirror loom, no biggy for me but a pita if you haven't got the gear to hand I guess.

Someone smacked mine. Didn't break but now wobbles so I think the plastic strap / strut from the back has popped off.
