Occationally when I switch on the ignition the dash indicators only light dimly and the meters don't work at all. Very occationally it will do this while driving so all the meters drop out.
At first I suspected the ignition switch because if you switch off and switch on again normality is restored. The reason for the post is the engine is unaffected, which rules out the ignition switch, unless the ECU can keep operating on reduced voltage.
Anyone had this before? I've looked through the circuits but can't spot the common element to this. It feels like a bad relay but I can't place where.
