Lidl have them this Monday for £3.99, even has a low temp alarm.

They work very well - I have one fitted in my TF and used to have one in the TD4 until it decided the external temp was a constant -20  The only downside is no back light so you cannot read it in the dark but at £3.99 you cannot expect any more:D

Did you get one of these thermometers in the end? If so, does it work as expected?

Hi, no. I couldn't find one for a price I was willing to pay for. So i took this option.

Put the cable for the outside temp under this doorstep protection (sorry don't know the correct english word for it)

However, I doubt it is accurat. :(

I brought the RDS one. I have not yet installed it but you have to tune the radio to read the info. But then you have no music till you turn to your favourite station. But it doe come with a red LED that flashes once the temp starts to get low. So then if you want to know just how cold it is the you have to press the preselected button to get the info. I was going to get the one pictured in the preface lift photo but in the face lift model there is just nowhere to mount it neatly.

Ahh, thanks for that. I thought the re-tuning thing might be the case.
