I was laying under my landy this morning, just double checking what sort of power steering pump I had, as its leaking so I am going to order a new one.

2.5 NA 1995/6 Power Steering Pump PAS 2.5 90/110 83-89 (Hoburn) ETC9077G



When I noticed, this screw hole to the left of the picture you can see the thread, and the leak of the pump.




Better shot of just the thread,




I was just wondering should there be anything screwed into this hole? Or is it like wading hole that only needs filling if your going under water?

Yea....when I first read about the wading plugs I rushed out and worried it'd been left in for ages and would be full of rubbish, luckily both the timing and flywheel plugs were in, but leaked nothing when taken out and left open overnight :) Must be the only place my landy hasn't leaked from!

Maybe, but it's not really a massive problem to reassure some who's just discovered what they thought was a missing sump plug etc. Especially if they are new to landys. I'm happy to help all and sundry if I can, as are you timtheenchanteruk, only knows how many times you and James have got me out of the muck so to speak!!! :)

Does it really matter, if we can help why not.?! We all ask obvious questions from time to time.

the wading plug is screwed in its storage hole next to it
