Got a 110 today...planning on it being a horsey wagon for the wife.
'84 CSW normally aspirated diesel, with many rusty holes & things missing, check straps on most doors fallen out & that famous old vinyl/cloth seat, rust, dog & musty smell-it's bloody great!
Front diff or halfshaft(s) definately needed !
Our son has named it "Bullet"...I asked why? "Because it certainly isn't is it" :D:D

On an MOT note, which is imminent after the diff & some welding being done; the rear seat belt anchor points are severely rusted as the rear body tub cross members that rivet to the body between the chassis rails are..well..gone.
Does anyone know if I remove all the rear seats & seat belts, will this then waiver the need for said items to be present in an MOT'able sense & I can fill the wholes up in the tub.

Oh pics below...:)

Good luck! Nice dog :)

Pretty sure you can take all the rear seats and belts out if you want, lots of people do it with their track cars and just have the one seat and they still go thru MOT ok.

I'm green - I wanted a 90 or 110 so badly but I don't have the time/money/knowledge for big welding jobs and couldn't find a solid one in my price range. I hope your wife appreciates it!!!

I've been told that if seat's and belt's are removed then they will not come into the MOT, not sure if DVLA need to to told about their removal beforehand though.

when we've done the welding, we gonna decide on what seats & belts to put back, theres only 3 of us so probably just a bench or a dickie

we were vvv lucky...got it as an MOT failure VERY cheap as the owner decided it wasnt worth it....but it is with a bit of Landy Spirit!

Cool, take it it's a Shetland then? :D

if only!

dunno...we'll find out soon enough, it would only be locally anyway.
She dont really like towing much so thatll probably still be done with the disco...its more for getting feed & being able to get to the yard in the winter; the fiesta didnt fair too well in the winter (stranded in no mans land for 3 days in the snow! :D:D:D)
