Hi Guys

My Landy 300tdi is making this horrible whinig squeal, I've had a look and it seems like the auxhillary belt, I've fitted a new one and it still pesists, I've checked tensions bearing and it's fine but weirdly if I spray chain oil or some WD40 on the belt it stops the whining for a minute or two and then it comes back, but obviously if I spray it again, the noise goes...

I'm clueless on what it could be, just wondered if anyone else has had this problem, or had any experience with it?

You're help would be much appreciated...

Thanks
Todd

Mate, I had exactly the same problem - to fix it, you'll need to put a washer (or a penny as I did ) behind the tensioner at the top. Problem is the aux belt rubbing slight and the washer fix thing, kinda aligns everything backup. Just been trying to load a pic for you . . but looks more complicated doing this than solving the squeak!! I even tried searching for 'inserting images' lol . . Good Luck

Ahhhh . . . pic atached??

another trick to try is dot 4 brake fluid acts as a bedding in fluid dont use to much though as its nasty on paint work (just incase some flicks up/off)
