300TDi Air conn Idler mechanism

Ive got a 300tdi auto I am about to start breaking, think there is one on there, will check next time I pop to my unit for you, probably Friday night.

Spot on, was going to ask about a picture to make sure I get thie right part. Will update tomorrow evening on it.
 
Good news, there is one on it, just got to whip it off, Im presuming it is held on by the 3 bolts through the slots?
What is a fair price?

having got the bit above, it appears that i need another idler :(.

according to the haynes, there should be one below the adjuster. has anyine got one, or a pic? I will need the fixings too.

It looks like it is an ERR7295, but I need the mounting bolt, cap and washers as well.

Yep, full engine breaking, coming off the same engine as the tensioner that I offered you.
Make me an offer.
 
Are you sure it's not the one way clutch pulley on your alternator causing the problem? I recently had a problem on my A4, changed 2 tensioners and still no better, turns out its the clutch pulley goosed on the alternator. Easy to check if it is
