So I have decided to sell my Defender 90 TD5 W reg (2000)
Where to start. Well its Green, mostly. It has some scratches to paintwork as its used as a greenlaner mainly and occasional driver. Mileage is 92K, Servicing has mainly been done by myself and a friend. I do have receipts for upgrades and other work that was done by my local independent. They have been looking after my family’s cars for more than 15 years. Chassis is solid, outriggers are in good condition, so is the rear cross member.
Full size intercooler fitted, ECU has been remapped also. Together they provide lots of instant power and better fuel economy. Will sit at 70mph all day if you want.
Ok so you will have seen that she has a 2” lift, OME springs and terrafirma shocks and a mix of Gwyn Lewis and QT metal work. I bought the lift kit as a package and was going to upgrade the shocks but to be fair they have lasted over a year and have been faultless. Rear steering bar has been upgraded to HD, sum guard fitted as are diff guards. Rock sliders are showing signs of wear but that means there doing there job. Has 285/75/16 Cooper STT’s fitted to modular steelies, I didn’t fit extreme tyres because I feel that there too aggressive for greenlaning. Both Front and rear axles have ARB air lockers fitted, these have been stripped and serviced by Ashcroft’s, since fitting they have covered no more than 500 miles I would have thought. Warn 9000i and winch bumper also fitted and wired into the dual battery system.
Interior wise, the seats are almost brand new and have had covers on since I owned the car, until one cover blew down a mountain the other month on a trip out! Cubby box in place of the centre seat, Raptor dash with boost gauge, CB and radio CD player. Also switches for rear wash wipe and the dual battery monitor is there as well. Still some spare holes so you can add your own switches etc. In the rear tub is a full length draw that I made out of MDF, it also has a gap down the side to hold a shovel, saw, umbrella, ropes and shackles etc.
Overall It’s a well maintained defender that has been used as a laner so has some scar’s and a couple of dents. Centre difflock works as it should and engages and disengages fine, low range also works as it should. I have just paid over £1200 in servicing including a new Dual mass flywheel and clutch kit by Valeo. Also had a new driver side CV the other week and a new bearings on the rear axle. Had a new alternator last year also. Has full MOT and tax until 09/09/2013 and 01/10/2013 respectively. As said, I have receipts for thousands of pounds I have spent.
£7500 ono
There is probably loads I have missed, ask any question you want..
Thanks for looking
