I have no interest in extending the oil interval. the factory interval is 6000miles, I have changed it at 6000miles for the last 400k miles, I am happy to change it every 6000miles. Going longer against the factory recommendation seems foolish to me.
If your engine looks like the photo below then yes you do, plus a panel fitted diagnostic socket also shown.
The white plug you show is part of an in-line connector so you should be looking for the socket and the a panel mounted diagnostic...
Over ere if yer car gets nicked they dun't always come to look. Sometimes they dun't investigate. They turn up. Have nowt to go on so log it but can't do nowt. Years ov austerity, closing police stations and letting coppers go, reduces wot they...
But all the car parts are the same over here and the EU the cars are the same but car crime is very low and here the police investigate everything,
If you have a car accident it is mandatory you call the police and thay determine at the site who...
You have to wait until the radiator air is hot enough to lock the viscous coupling before trying the "newspaper" trick.
Having said that, if you don't know when it was last replaced, there is a good chance of it being poked.
I replaced the...

Great projects...
It appears that the motor has been detached from the regulator at some time, then refitting with the regulator in the wrong position… the glass wasn’t fully closed.

The viscous fan is actuated by the temperature of the radiator airflow - there is no "temp" it comes on at, as far as coolant temp goes - once the radiator air output is hot enough, the fan will lock.
You need to get the coolant flowing first...
Thank you all so much, I really appreciate it!
Will have a proper look around today and let you know - I'll order some 4 Dot too. It does look odd being so dry doesn't it?!
I bought my tank with my heart, more than my head - as a project to...
I agree, but having bent and twisted these around a bit I am damn impressed with how tough they are. Where the standard arms would bend and or break out of the potentiometer, these just flex and return to their normal shape.
I do like that...
Hi, the BCU must stop the motor so if the motor doesnt stop when you block it's shaft the problem is the BCU but make sure there's not some wear in the mechanism and the motor's shaft doesnt feel the blockage hard enough to increase the draw(see...
