Have to say the Rimmer YouTube, almost does little more than list was has to be done.
As with SOOOO many youtubes, it skims over the difficult bits that you really need help with.
Maybe a better link to a better article, forum thread or another...
So, spent my lunch break while working from home to check something under the car. Pulled myself out grabbing the front propshaft. Managed to turn it by hand appr. 20 degrees. The rear one is tack solid.
Means the front diff is shot, but not...
Hi in reply its a 2013 freelander 2 perhaps could be more clear on b roads 40 mph ish warning stays off (car drives and pulls as normal) but as soon as you get on a dual carridgeway or put the engine under load ie up hill at about 2500 rpm...

Can anyone tell me the best / easiest way to remove the doors.on a 3 door FL1 ? Looks like I could knock the pins out of the hinges or ... with some awkward spannering ... maybe get to the bolts that remove the hinges from the monocoque. Perhaps...

Not sure yet, some on ebay for around 400 sovs, there is one local-ish for 105 quid & has a bit of the toby valve missing.
Looks like its just the nob on the top. A new valve is 200 quid from euro land.
Hi folks, sorry if this has been asked before , I searched but can't find it. How to change the auxillary belt tensioner on my freelander 1 TD4 ? I can't find a garage where I am that knows how. Any help would be much appreciated. TIA
That will look great with a hood, mine is also a factory light green. Have you got the rear window goal posts? Exmoor trim sell the bits to attach the hood. Pricey, but it does make life easier have the correct parts ready.
Thanks as always fella, do we know if the auto lights are literally just a change of stalk and adding the sensor?
I read up somewhere you can add an intermittent function with the wipers, but I just dont know enough about this car yet to know...
Lack of power and smoke could be a loose/split boost pipe.
Other things to check besides the filter and LP pump are the O rings on the high pressure pump. These wear over time also. Cheap repair kits online.
If you have decent diagnostics you...
Possibly - I’ll look next time I plug LR SDD laptop in to it.
If it works and I can configure, I’m happy to come over @GrumpyGel and do yours, but you’ll have to cover expenses 😵💫🤪
I bet there are threads on here about it, if not elsewhere on the net.
But one thing I have heard is that it is better to take the transfer box off first as it is heavy and awkward. Do you have a second pair of hands to help? That is more or...
So I put some LED bulbs in my front indicators a while ago (300tdi, 1994, D90).
I had noticed that when I attached the trailer the trailer lamp indicator only flashed once.
Not too fussed so carried on.
I decided to fit more LED's into the...
Good point.
I think I also noticed that it is FFR so should be 24 volt, not 12 V. Maybe that has summat to do wiv it?
Nope just says "plus Bowman" and the aux socket on the dash says 12V , which is weird as in that case what else could it be...
I saw that too, over £100 - FFS
So that your indicators flash 3 times and then stop ....
You can get a new pair of rear springs for less than that or a pair of shocks, a full set of Timkin bearings and Corteco seals for the axles ....
Anyway, I...
