Nope. 135Nm(ish) does fine, never come loose and I can undo the wheel nuts with my Makita buzz gun.
I have my torque wrench set to 135Nm but I always seem to go a bit over.
Our cottage is over 400 years old so the walls are over 2ft thick, the living room wall to windows go in at an angle so ideal
for frame fixings for hinges as it wont obscure the window. Need to look at designs and fittings.
So, having been to the weekly producers' market then watched bit o a DVD, W has gone to bed and I have to fit the pump, water, unfit the pump then put the hens to bed all by torchlight!
Oh and our slightly bonkers neeb has now bought yet...
I remember you posting about this before. Wiv pics if I remember creckly.
I may also have said at the time that our Georgian house in Bath had interior shutters. They folded into cavities in the walls either side of the windy. Only practicle if...
That bloke wiv the dodgy diff has now decided he is going to have a go at it!
Pleased for him. It is all too easy once you get to a certain age to simply let things slide.
Me being a bad offender!
Sad but good.
I am sure we all are hoping that your rehab is going as well as it should if not better.
Hopefully once done and you are where you need to be then time aay will be a just reward!:)
Us too.
But, the fixing of internal shutters was too onerous and would end up with 2 big bulky lumps on either side of the bay window.
Instead I had CNC cut plywood inserts made to fit inside the window panels. They are papered plain on the...
I know they have a bad rep in military circles and the xzl’s are regarded as much better. It may also be worth checking the manufacture date of the spare. As just because it is good tread especially if it is what it came with from the army it may...
Just for the record, I think I figured out what the interior lighting contact is used for, it is (cpupd be) the constant plus. In case of 13 pin sockets, 7 pin sockets don't have one. Either way, I might just use it as a constant plus, saves me...
If it comes to it the drop arm I took the picture of on eBay was £18 and included a new ball joint. So if you are really struggling although relaxing a good part it will not break the bank.
You are not supposed to push the throttle once it fired up untill it didnt idle a bit on it's own and if it started once and ran no matter how never touch the throttle without engine already running cos you flood the engine, insisting to start it...
Thanks for that. Doing some searches to figure out where the sensor is, I found your (Nodge68) comment:
Are you sure the diagnostic said camshaft sensor, and not crankshaft sensor?
The crankshaft position sensor fails often, the camshaft sensor...
I never asked! TBH I was amazed that the Frog army was that bothered about the paint finish!! If they wanted to keep sand out of other bits of the motors I would understand.
"OEM" means nothing these days, it's just a marketing scam for various aftermarket parts, if you can't afford genuine LR(which are actually green) then buy branded ones like Viton, a friend of mine fitted some so called OEMs and they leaked...
Hi
I have a leak on my EAS dryer, I tried to remove it , but the 8mm bolt is rusted with the nut.
can we remove the nut assembly from the airbox with the bolt stuck in it?
thanks
Yes, I was talking about measuring backlash. This video isn't the best for this. For a start, I would clamp the pinion flange so that it couldn't move before measuring it, but yes, that is what I was talking about.
Here is a much better video but...
Sometimes it is helpful to think about a problem, not just listen to the dealer and your uncle's mechanic friend. Owning an older complex car becomes an opportunity to learn - and a necessity if enriching dealers and indy's is not an option.
So...
I like this project already  How would it be taking a modern v8 motor & graft the classic body onto it might need an
engineers report. I suspect our dvsa would want an IVA test or what every they do now.
