1949 S1 knock on metal type Early disco Both are knock on,not measured or removed to check further. They look the same size(my theory is wheel stubs are all the same design/size for most years) unless you got HD with bigger shafts

I had another go at it today, with no luck. The injector pump was still timed to the crankshaft correctly indicating that the lower chain had not skipped. So I followed the procedure to set the camshaft timing. It sounds a little keener than...

This car 125,000 miles, and £800 in good condition with 4x4 full service history. I will check fuses and wire in my assessment. The acrid smell reminded me of a friends herald where low amped wire caused some issues during a rally.

How long have you owned the car? I'd check your fusebox and make sure someone hasn't replaced a (something like) 5amp fuse with (something like) a 50amp one! All wiring is rated well above the fuses, so should not burn out.
