if he has a pressure sensor issue he wont read any pressure with diags,( and an immoberliser issue in the ecu) id go for the leak off test easy to do, its fuel air and compression despite all the sensors
he needs the right software for that, besides hes already been told theres no pressure, just hasnt diagnosed were its going, becoming a shot gun repair ( unnessesery ecu mod )
So are your tail lights different from the UK spec item, as there a few here new and used on the eBay sites and shipping to the states as most other places from the UK isn’t difficult, I’ve done it a few times sending stuff abroad of course there...
A quick question to all you knowledgeable people out there...
My Defenders Handbrake switch does not seem to do anything???? The switch itself is dodgy (intermittent contact) but grounding the wire on he switch doesn't bring any warning lights on...
I’d get your own and you’ll soon learn how to use it with us. No point going to people that wil read it but not give a definite answer or actually fix it. If you had one (Or a lend) you could check yourself the pump outputs, voltage all sorts of...
there are lots of reasons why you cant register fuel pressure, the imoberliser isnt one of them, there are 3 pumps in the system any of which could cause no fuel pressure then there is the fuel pressure relief (mechanical and not monitored) and...
The diag mechanic told me there was an error from the fuel pressure sensor, but that’s all he told me, I messaged him today asking to give me the code or more info and he said he didn’t save it or whatever and can’t give me any more info, so...
Hello Experts,

According to Mark_C on rr.net L322 section, all the immobiliser does is prevent the key turning & starter engaging. If that's true then sort the fuelling first !! https://www.rangerovers.net/posts/2209790/ But other threads say it stops...
They probably make more money doing immobiliser stuff than fuel regulators & pumps !!
Fuel pressure codes are just a clue something is wrong. The diagnostic should also show the actual pressure values.
Off the car should be 1/3 of the time on the car. Due to the 3:1 diff gearing. So 1.2m and 5Kg on the car at a minute is at end of life. I use as a rule of thumb.
Yes I thought it seemed a little tight. I did read somewhere that after sitting for a while, they need at least one full revolution to distribute the fluid before testing. This one has sat on the bench in my garage for at least 6 months.
It...
