They're nesting in a sycamore tree about 60 yards away and then sit on a neighbours opposite my house. I thought they might be attracted to the chrome bit on my tailgate but my neighbours Nissan dont have anything shiny and they're suffering as well.

Are you putting a touch of grease on the inner lip before assembly?
The argument is that if you use oil it can create a gateway for oil to escape and that before we get to ptfe plastic seals and their dry resting period😵
No problem my mate. Are the seals sat flush with the outer casing or set back. Landrover had a habit of setting seals into some casings by 4-5mm and then some sat flush with casing faces🤔
Unfortunately that motor seems obsolete all over the place, i bought one as well about 2 years ago then sent the bad one to a rewinding service and they made it like new for half the price so i keep that for spare.

Yea saw that, every time I looked last year it was out of stock and has been ever since.. unless I’m just unlucky. Assumed it was an out of stock permanently lol. Also don’t forget it might cost a lot more due to the import taxes now.
