Hi All
I will finally change from D2 td5 (after 10 years) to D3 in the coming days! I have found one good potential D3 auto 2007MY, with already changed engine 5 years ago by reliable landy service. They have put a Jaguar engine in the car. I...
Hey all, so update from the frontline... The ECU is with the specialist, having the immobiliser delete done today and should get it back Monday/tuesday... fingers crossed!!!
Afternoon
Lovely sunny day, managed to keep house down to 22c by having blind closed and windows shut.
Painted GF's fence this morning, looks better in grey and silver than rusty black and faded gold :D
Dog behaved as well, just lay there and...
I’m not far from Langley and might be able to help. I’ve got a set of TD4 injectors that were working fine when pulled; you’re welcome to borrow them for testing. No need for a deposit, just look after them and let me know how it goes
That's how my setup is at the moment.
Would be nice to replace the mechanical pump but then you have the timing to consider if you remove the mechanical pump. Shorter belt? Idler pully? Seems a bit of a headache unless you leave the mech pump in...
Alright, I got it to run, so will leave this for future generations wasting a week just like me.
Step 1. Key to pos 1.
Step 2. Negative battery off for 5 mins.
Step 3. Negative back on.
Step 4. You will see it turning on the dash without asking...
If it’s ‘only’ leaking when you fill up (and engine off I assume?), then to me it would suggest it’s not related to the return side, so presumably something on the fill side. There is a vent pipe, but that would only vent air out.
Maybe in the...
My 110 has a Isuzu 2.8 engine and that has no lift pump. The Bosch VE rotary does the job once primed and for purging air there is currently a rubber bulb on the fuel line to be squeezed.
I cant say I was a fan of the rubber bulb and was...
I don't think that the TB ratio can affect that but if it was remapped that might have mixed up things coz as long as you see the inputs the problem is definitely with the ECU... if you go into the Info section what you see at Cruise control...
It was very common at a time, happened to me and to others too, see https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/d2-front-driveshaft-seal.391253/#post-5673652
The point being the engine inherited with the sad old 109 was leaking oil out of every orifice, in fact the engine bay looked like the drilling floor on an oil rig. No wonder there isn’t any sign of rust. Compounded by the fan blowing liquid oil...
Hi there all...
I have a Discovery 3 with a suspension issue; this is the background and what I've done thus far
Issue:
- about a month ago I was driving, and the suspension gave me an error (amber light on dash - bottom left - looks like a car...
Hi Bee, we had a similar problem and spent ages and a fortune trying to figure it out. Turns out our issue was a leak from the windscreen (original not replacement!) apparently this isn't unusual? Screen was removed and refitted and problem went...
With multimeter is shows 12.4V when engine off, nanocom shows 12.07V.
Yeah, I need manual ECU, now I don’t have cruise control, clutch switch isn’t plugged in. I’ve read that TD5insied can convert auto ecu to manual but am not sure that true...
I agree that it sounds like the immobiliser is not allowing the car to start, for whatever reason.
If you have tried the obvious (new battery in fob / spare key / all fuses etc), then my next ‘easy’ check would be the actual car battery. The F2...
