How about putting board on top of the seats ?(either on the seat part or back rest)
Put a few uprights to support this. Make it so it folds in the middle or in 2 pieces (then
You could slide it onto the floor for storage)
Progress so far...
Air box etc out of the way.
Upper intake manifold off.
Lower intake manifold, coil packs, fan, belts, pulleys, coolant hoses and rocker covers etc.
Heads off.

I don't really know how to gauge the clearance. It says 1.6mm but what do you measure? Also surely the pedal should never hit the floor no matter how hard you press it? Not touched the adjusters on the drum yet, too busy trying to get the air...
That’s a shame, sometimes you just need to have a cup of tea and cool down , that’s all part of the learning process, did you get the required clearance in the master cylinder pushrod and brake adjusters not binding can’t think what else would...
So update, pedal felt okay until I got it off the axle stands and then brakes were locked on. Fiddled about with the master cylinder and now have brakes locked on and pedal still able to go to floor with effort or no brakes at all. Giving up and...

I need...
On the heater box there are 6 rivets that are tight into the joint:

I have Googled a bit and not really turned up anything that looks like it with cope with this or a few spots where some...
Whoever designed the heater box certainly took an interesting route. Or some drugs. One or the other as its ended up complex and both rivetted and spot welded along the same joints.
Its consumed 12 hours of my life I reckon. There is the one way...
anything to do with wiring ECM BCM etc is going to be a right pain.
As for the chassis, there must be ways of testing it to see if it has been seriously damaged. Testing it for twist resistance is just one thing

When I first had my second Freelander td4 auto there were a few problems and advised to change the maf sensor which I did now 13 years after suffering a few problems like smoke on start up and acceleration ,I had enough and was going to sort it...
