Before the show I used to say it was 90% fun and 10% work. After the show it was 10% fun and 90% work. I've never been treated worse in my life than on that road for the first few years after the show came out. It got better for a little while, I...

When we check van at work, we have to check if it needs an engine service, cambelt or transmission service/fluid change. On the new VW Crafters, the transmission service is every 260,000 kms. That seems a stupid length of time. At that...

Used to watch Ice Road Truckers years ago when it was more like a documentary than a made up "reality show".

I thought I was bad at this sort of thing, till I started current job. Stuff just vanishes - everything. We use scales a lot, and they could never be found. So 4 were bought. 4 screws screwed into the wall that they hang from and that is...

That's a good question. I occasionally put some anti-gel in the diesel tank, but not very often. I've never added anything to petrol. On the ice roads (think Ice Road Truckers) I'd put anti-gel in every single fill, but those circumstances are a...

Hi, Thanks, I will see how far I get with the bolts. Your suggestion will save me a lot of hassle and money, not sure it will work on this car. It took 30T on left side to get the bearing moving. /Chris

Something is worn, must be. If the seal is tight going in I can't see it being that seat although there maybe a score in the face thats allowing oil past however again, it's not under pressure so i'm not convinced that you wouldn't spot it when...

I have found that, in general, Corteco seals are pretty good and a reasonable price. I almost always buy two seals for any seal I may be changing, bound to need it in the future sometime.

The one I got looked pretty good quality, thankfully not britpart or the like. If it started leaking from the old one and now this new one then I'm inclined to believe there's something else going on but I'll double check the banjo bolt. I use a...

Maybe bad luck with regards to the seal. I fitted a Genuine flange and seal a couple of years ago, leaking again. Also had a seal fail in no time and others just fine. Good job the seals are cheap enough, try another one. What do you use to knock...

Sounds like a right drama driving over there, not really something we have to consider here. Do you also need fuel additives during the cold weather?

I use the standard Autel MaxiAP200 app. It downloads other apps when its runs. Its quite confusing the first time it runs.

Yeah you need 4 individual bushes. Temporary solution that will probably save you a bunch of time: -Use the two bushes you have now to replace the ones you've marked in blue. One on each radius arm. -Refit the radius arms with the old bushes in...

Nope but it's not the original bolt that's in, it's a newer one I fitted. I'll take it out and check it though. My hub seals are still good, it's just the pinion seal

Didn't see any grooves and marks worn into the flange, it's still in pretty good condition and isn't that old
