Handy to know, getting the oil filter off my 2.5 petrol last month was quite the chore. I initially went at it with a G clamp as I'd done before on previous cars but it wasn't budging. So off to euros to get one of those three claw filter...

Thanks, so it's OK for the the two half shafts to be different types? The half shaft has definitely been worked on as the bearing locknuts had been removed/tightened using a chisel, I am assuming that's not how LR did it. I am on with cleaning...

Agree with the above, the chassis looks to be in reasonable condition but it needs a good wash and wax coating inside and out to keep it that way. I am also going to assume from the shiny black paintwork and AC grill that can be seen that the...

Don’t just paint with the likes of hammerite, it won’t last. The best bet is as above, shot blasted, zinc coated and then painted. The steps are exposed to salt and muck from the road so need doing properly.

Have you checked the fuel pressure yet? Fuel pressure regulator is a fairly common fault. The low pressure system pressure is approx. 1.5 bar to 5 bar and return end < 0.6 bar. The pressure in the high pressure end is 200 bar to 1350 bar.

Nanocom does not show correct voltage. Needs a voltmeter measurement on battery and also alternator to confirm any cable loss between the two.
