I did some scrolling and found the below old thread. Which I've copied and pasted. Following that and looking at the inside of the clocks that contains accurate mileage, I can see the 24 pin memory chip has been desoldered and plugged in. I'm...

Very good question, my gut says you will have to come from above, I vaguely remember my chap had fuel tank supports etc to replace whilst he did it so there must be space, I think the rear CM curves down at the point they replace it.

It could be a number of things to be honest… Does the noise change with road speed or engine speed? Does it change/happen when in a particular gear, or neutral? With the clutch in or out? Any difference when turning in a tight circle? Does it...

This is perfect advice!! Your chassis may be clean on outside but if it’s dirty on the inside on the weld area you will end up with fireworks down your sleeves and weld contamination. This may end up with you chopping out a tad more than you...

Spend a bit of time routing the pipe nicely, nothing looks worse than a poorly bent and routed pipe. The straight bits are actually the hardest to get looking nice.

Hi I have a barn find 1998 RR 2.5 Turbo, 30,000 miles, one owner . stored 15 years on wooden blocks inside a garage in greece. Had some mice problems with some wiring under the bonnet, but not that bad . Now it runs and drives , but the brakes...

Ordered 6 litres of Mannol 5W-40 ceramic life extension oil and filters. Interested to see if the engine "feels" or sounds different (TD4, 325,000 km). Used BMW longlife last time and I got 875km on a tankful and no low fuel light!

Discovered earlier that the rear crossmember on my 90 is a lot worse than last time I looked, so I think a replacement with the extension legs will be on the cards. Most of it looks pretty straightforward from what I can see. One question...

Yes cos the gas puts them to sleep as part ov the process. Bit like anna-settic when yer having an operation. But they go further wiv the gas and it kills them. They won't know or feel it happening if done right wiv the propper gas.

The bottom of radiator should be brass so likely the boss was soldered on with a good fillet to strengthen joint If not sure how to do it … The high temperatures of brazing would melt the soldered fins into bottom, Remove rad and lay flat Clean...

Let's hope it is an airlock then. Are they a pain to clear? I don't want to let it idle for too long if the temp keeps spiking. As for that device - there aren't any extra fans that I can see (around the rad anyway), I'll have to try and follow...

Took my "new" Freelander 1 to a trusted mechanic. Looking to hear from him tomorrow. I have little experience with 4x4 or land rovers so I'm asking him to diagnose my rattle/shudder. I wasn't able to narrow it down at home, but I'm leaning...

Good day, Went to drain a bit of the coolant out of the radiator from the lower valve, and it immediately started to leak. Felt like something was loose, then the bung came out along with the valve. Luckily I had enough containers handy to catch...

I’ve ordered the good type of pipe, one of those fancy flaring tools and a good bender as well as a few packs of fittings for fingers crossed, I can cobble something together. Thank you!

Actually get this one. I struggled for a long time (years) with the cheap multi piece sets you get with the little round dies. When I eventually gave up and got this one I was cursing myself for not spending a little more and getting this one...
