This is my build here: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/200tdi-s3-88-pas-long-travel-suspension-rebuild.298104/
Having also got another 200Tdi powered Series, I'd also suggest moving the alternator to the other side of the engine. Gwyn...
As it stands, £200-500 really, but nobody is likely to accept that. The chassis and engine are worth money on their own, but obviously require work to get into individual bits. As a rule, parts will often add up to more than an entire vehicle.
A...
I have it with the ignition on, there is no voltage on pin 1.
I checked the wiring diagram via the pdf file and followed the wiring on paper, it seems that relay R7 has something to do with the parking wiper.
Haha an honest summary. I can imagine there's nothing fun about being stuck in traffic in one. Do you think you could stomach it on an extended drive (4-6 hours)?
Well i'm down in the southeast, near Brighton - that could potential be a cool idea. I was thinking about potentially going to the 'Great British Landrover Show' in Bath at the end of the month to have a look at what some people have done, and...
Do you know what the exact failure was of the previous two diffs and what bits where actually replaced?
The front axle has many components, the diff is not normally a wear item and only really fails or breaks under duress of extreme off roading...
As above from a 2005 face lift l322 with 150,000 miles.
It Can be supplied with a tired 6hp26 auto box, torque converter, radiator, car loom and ecu for another £300.
This was removed from my old range rover and i had planned to fit it to the...
I now have this working and I believe I know what happened.
Rimmer Bros sell two sensors.
YDB500311PMAP which has a right angle connector, and which Rimmers sold me as the "outer" sensors.
YDB500301PMAP which has a straight connector, and which...
I have re-used a copper head gasket in the past, got wifey to iron it then torqued it down to 60 lbs feet
Might be worth tightening the head down to 60 , they seldom warp being cast iron
Hi all, I have a 50kg expedition roof rack on my Defender 90 TD5 and am loading it up with a 70kg roof tent, a 30kg awning and at night, myself at 80kg and my wife...at not too far off the same (she would kill me for saying that!). I'm hoping...
Ha !
Yes I have done exactly that. Its circa £650 for the modified block, but installing and fitting new pipes .... its getting north of £1200. All facts to consider
If it was me I'd take the pipe in question off and take it to a specialist pipe company, who would make one up for you for not much money. Using the same fittings.
This thread may prove useful to you...
Good about the stat, I had hoped that would change the plug colour, so that is another thing fixed. :)
As for the head gasket, if it was me I'd do a compression test first. Remembering to do it twice between times introducing a small amount of...
Thank you for your advice. I would like to keep it but I don't have unlimited funds and time, hence reaching out for advice. Apart from the ACE issues, which when it works is great, there are no other issues.
Thanks for pointing that out, it would have been helpful ! For its age its in average condition , no dents, some scratches but nothing major. I am at a watershed moment, as I can't find a reliable garage to repair the leaks and vibration issues...
They usually leak around the engine number area, I always used to put a but of gasket stuff on that area when assembling. Water may be running along from the thermostat housing though
