XENON 150 Or Osram nightbreaker bulb

Been looking at upgrading my headlights, read a lot of old posts and been put off of LED units and now looking at fitting better bulbs, I have added lights for high beam but have busy roads round here so don’t get to use them much :(
So looking at either:
XENON 150 H4 HEADLAMP BULBS

or

Osram nightbreaker bulb

anyone using either?
Will look at wiring harness but to be honest I think slightly brighter and whiter bulbs will do it
 
i fitted osram nightbreaker bulbs but to be honest what made my lights very good was changing land rover headlight glass to wipac crystal best lights i ever had on a landy
 
I’ve got the Osram bulbs for my 90. They made a difference with the standard headlights. I’ll upgrade to Crystal headlights when I get chance.

:mad::mad: I get really annoyed at these fooookers that say they can’t post to me:confused::confused:
 
Those LED bulbs may not be road legal - many are not and can fail the MoT. I've used the Wipac crystal lenses with nightbreaker type bulbs for years - they are as good as many modern cars, providing the wiring is up to scratch - I've also fitted the boomslang harness.
I feel your pain with the postal crapness - even on an Island as big as Ireland!

forgive my ignorance but what is a boomslang harness?

I also think they are poorly made from cheap components and the layout and positioning of relays etc is not ideal. If you are vaguely competent with wiring you could make a far better version of it with better positioning and decent earths. If you are no good with electrics it might just about do the job, but if you are capable of installing it yourself you should be competent enough to make a far better version yourself. I bought one, realized how poor it was, set about modifying it to improve it and then gave up as it was more hassle than it was worth and is easier to start from scratch.

I double checked mine today and the previous owner must have upgraded the lights to Wipac crystal lenses, but I know they are standard bulbs as I had to replace one not so long ago, I will order a set of the night breakers for this coming winter
 
Can't say I've ever noticed much difference putting more expensive 'night breaker' etc bulbs in.
Cheap and cheerful for me and keep lense clean.
55watt is 55watt. I suppose they could over drive the filament by a bolt or 2.. as you would if you put a 6 volt bulb in a 12v car, to make it burn brighter, but the lifespan would be reduced

I tried the night breaker bulbs too & they werent up to much with the standard lamps, iirc they had a blue tinge on the bulb.

The blue tone is very popular and looks more modern so people like them but actually makes it harder on the eyes.. either tinted bulb or hotter burn which won't last as long, so unlikely

I bought a tranny van recently & didnt drive it for weeks at night, then I had to take my dog to the
emergency vets feck me I couldnt see nowt, the road ahead looked red & the side lights were red
ffs :rolleyes:
They are kicking about I will see if I can find them.
