I've just been into the fuse box to check if it's the fuse that caused my sidelights to go out. It's not, and fuse is fine, but a lot of the fuses are rated higher than the sticker on th panel suggests they should be. There's no 5As at all, side lights are on 15s, headlights are on 10s etc... Seems odd for someone to have increased the rating of most fuses (randomly apparently). Is there any reason for doing that?

I'm no electrician but i'm aware fuses are sized for a reason (safety) and using bigger could cause problems further down the line. Presumably I should change them all back to what the manual/sticker says they should be?

Cheers
Dan

They have obviously been played about with, There should be a diagram on your fusebox cover, but as Sean said, some wires could have been played about with too
