Would this pipe do?

I actually am going to get round to making the snorkel, promise! But as for the hose running from the pipe going through the wing, reckon this ducting would be alright leading to the airbox?

Yeah that's what I thought, it's just 1/3 of the price of the southdown stuff. So I may just get a length of that.
