That’s off the bulkhead harness under hood.
yep i know, this is how to wire it up to make a reverse light work
you need:
- a couple bullet connectors,
- a reverse switch
- clear lens for the rear
on the below picture you can see a single green wire in the multi plug indicated by my finger - i have plugged into it a random colour wire.
you need to run a cable from this green wire to one side of the reverse switch.
now from the other terminal on the reverse switch bring a wire back up and connect it into this green loose single wire - thats the switch wired up.
now go to the rear passenger side of the vehicle and look behind the rear light cover bit and find the single green wire - mine wasnt connected to anything - now wire that to the bulb holder instead of whatever colour wire is currently wired to it and fit a clear bulb and thats the reverse light wired at the rear.
i cant remember if the multiplug or the single wire is the one that runs to the rear of the vehicle, i think its the single wire but check it with a voltmeter, one of them will be 12v live. i think the multiplug is the live and the single male wire leads to the rear.
theory is simple, the green in the multiplug provides power, this feed into one side of the switch, when reverse is selected it closes the switch and sends the power down the other wire to the rear and the bulb lights. Earthing is done at the rear on the rear light earth.
i dont know what the other colour wire you are asking about is for, mine isnt connected either.
is that what you were asking?
is yours ex-military?
