Hi,
200tdi land rover model 90 (1987)
I know this has been covered before but im wondering where i can get a full loom?
Basically the previous owners decided it would be a great idea to firstly bodge quite a lot of wiring, and also to put 25A fuses on eveything. this has invevitably lead to lots of melted wiring covers/ poor connections. Ive done my best to tidy things up but realistically i think it needs a new loom. Im worried about the areas i cant se and what damage has been done. Im hopefully stripping the landy down soon anyway for a bit of a restoration. Would you agree a new loom is the best route?
I have found here; Autosparks, World leading supplier of classic car wiring looms
Is this the only place you can get them?, do you think a dealer would be more expesive than this? I dodnt reaslly want to go down the second hand route but they seem to be incredibly expensive for new, although im sure its justified???
Also as there is an engine conversion which loom would be best? Can you get them custom made? i.e. already married up to have an `old` 90 loom with the loom for a 200tdi, or would buying a newer i.e. 1990+
loom be the best option.
Sorry to go on,
Cheers,
