Good Evening everyone.

I need a new wiring harness for the temperature slider controls area of the centre console on my 2013 Defender 90. There are 4 bulbs that currently don’t light up. Three of these lit up previously with a bit fidgeting with the controls. I replaced the bulbs but made no difference and now these don’t light up at all. Does anybody know where I could get a new wiring harness? Might check a scrap yard if all else fails.

Thanks.

The lighting harness isn't available as a separate part.

Neither are the bulb holders, which are the same (or similar) to those used in some Fiats and Vauxhall Corsas.

The only part of the lighting harness that's available separately, is the White 2-way male plug (as well as the mating female connector on the main harness).

These are TE Multilock 070 series.

In fact, the whole HVAC control panel has been lifted from a Fiat.

I posted some info on this, here -

I will get round to checking the voltages this weekend hopefully. Might just have to bastardise the loom that I have and see if I can get it working some how.

Yip - headlights on and all other lights. Everything works as it should, also the dash lights. I checked the voltage by using my multimeter and sticking the ends of the terminals of the white connector. Would that be right?

Find the feed for the dash lights and check that voltage to make sure you doing things correctly.
Once you have a live & earth, keep probe on the earth & check the plug outputs for power.

You could also check the removed loom lights with a bit of power off the battery if you have confidence
