Wiring for Tow Bar

Hi all,
Freelander 2 (2011) came with a tow bar when we bought it. All was working fine with our trailer and new light board initially. Since then we have had some connection issues which we have resolved with new connectors but now the lights have stopped working altogether and there are some quiet bleeps inside the vehicle. All visible connections in the boot look fine, just wondering if anyone can tell me where the wires are likely to run (visible bits are under a flap on the left hand side of the boot) so I can try and check connection further along, or if any one has any other possibilities for the problem and how to fix it please?

Are you sure the new sockets are wired correctly?
Have you checked the tow module fuses in the rear fuse box? Blown fuses there would suggest a wiring issue.
The trailer lights are supplied with power through a tow module, which is mounted behind the LH boot panel, just forward of the rear light cluster.
