Wire with sensor/connector hanging from bumper

Hi
I've recently been experiencing hot start problems and whilst looking for a solution I have discovered a white sensor/connector hanging from the bumper on the driver's side. Does anyone know what it could be and is it likely to be linked to the hot start problems. Thanks ollie

Looks like a fog light plug to me. What are the wire colours, inside the flexy conduit?

There is a single red wire inside the conduit.

Your hot start problems may well be the cam shaft sensor when it is cold no problem as soon as you get it hot the problem starts then if you wait till it has gone cool again it starts

Thanks for the reply but I've already checked that and it doesn't seem to be the problem.
