Hi All, This forum has been great for helping me out with little problems I've come across with a custom truck I've been building, I've found some great help, especially with electrics where people have previously posted answers to the same issues I've been having, but this time I thought I'd post something as I'm a bit stuck! Any help would be appreciated..

My truck is based on a Discovery 300 TDI, with a custom body. I've retained the loom, but installed a late Defender Td5 windscreen wiper assembly as the original one wouldn't fit. The issue I have is that the wipers park in the upright position.
I connected the Disco loom up to the defender wiper assembly and I'm pretty confident I have it wired correctly - my variable and two wiper speeds work correctly.

The wiper motor assembly was apart various times while I was installing it and shoehorning it into the limited space I have behind the dashboard, so something may have been put back incorrectly. I mounted the wiper assembly with the removable plate on the bulkhead/front side of the assembly, which I think is the same as it would be in a defender.

In trying to find a fix, I read that someone turned the cam wheel in the wiper assembly 180 degrees to correct the same issue that I'm having, but I don't understand how that would fix the problem as it wouldn't change where the piece on the back of the wheel is that controls where the wipers park. So wouldn't it just rotate itself 180 until it all lines itself back up with where it is now?!

With the wipers currently parked, the spigot which connects to the arm is positioned to the side, with the drive cable pushed right out ( as in the picture below).

Hopefully all of this makes sense, and if anyone has any ideas on how I can change the park position i'd be really grateful as I've been scratching my head over this for ages!!

I thought about that, but if I position them at the bottom of the screen when in the parked position, they'll head downwards through the bulkhead when switched on!

I've ended up with three wipers to clear the screen, which isn't really that relevant, but the attached pic shows the wiper sweeps.

Sorry, I'm probably being dense, but I don't understand how that will help me.
I think you're saying that my motor, which currently parks in the position of the assembly on the left of the two pictured should park like the one on the right.
I understand that the park position is controlled by the part sticking out of the back of the the wheel, so if I rotate the wheel 180 degrees to match it up with the one on the right, once I've wiped the windows won't it just reset to the position of the one on the left?
