hey,
posted here a while back about wiper motor problems. well i eventually got around to looking at it and it is indeed not the motor! bollox! so i took the upper part of the dash off to get a look, which didnt take too long.
basically one of the rods (closest to the motor) has popped out of the housing. i tried to pop it back in, but the flange on the rod and cable inside make it extremely difficult. also the housing has flared open a little bit.
as the night was drawing to a close, i called it a day, so didnt play around with it too much.
do you think it would be possible to pry open the housing insert the rod and then jam the housing closed over the rod? or am i going to have to replace all the rod linkages?
ive attached a pic, which hopefully should clarify things. maybe this is a common prob. i dunno. motor machanics and land rovers are all new to me
thanks for all your help as always.
