window winder handle removal

I am fitting mortice deadlocks to the doors of a 2007 puma defender 110 van .How do I remove the window winder handle so that the lining can be removed? The manual I have only details electric windows.Advice much appreciated.Pete

Welcome Pete (if that's ya name)

I don't have a pic, which is unusual! The winder pushes on to splines on a metal spindle that sticks out through the door card. If I remember correctly, if you pull the door handle out from the door card a bit you can see the circular sprung wire loop that clips in on to the spindle. A bit like a wire circlip. You can push a screwdriver in and pop it off.
