Hello all.
The above has come to an end on my 3 door 2003, Freelander. The drivers side, that takes all the Ups and down's.
I have done the Archive route, but there's not much there up to date as it were.
What I'm after is some one thats fitted one from a supplier thats worked and has not needed to be replaced after two weeks of use.
Thanks for your help on this in advance .

Cheers

Fitted loads of cables over the years. I did about 10 last year alone. The cables aren't difficult to fit, but the whole assembly is easier.

Thanks all.

For your replies, Given my skills, I would do better if I got the complete unit. Any one got any links or recommendations for that.

Cheers Sir's

Worth having a go if you're brave.
I tried it twice and it failed twice but that was probably the kits I received, that's my excuse anyway. Last couple I did I bought the regulator complete apart from the motor.

Hello Alibro.

I think I'll go with your suggestion. Do you have any links or recommendations on a supplier?

Thanks for your time Pal.

Cheers.

Go with what Nodge says and you can't go wrong. He's the expert hereabouts. ;)
But if you want to buy a complete regulator then I usually just go for the cheapest and so far so good. Just be careful when fitting the motor. If the spool goes boing you'll be doing a complete refit anyway.
For rear windows I have used the cable kits and they were fine.

the only regulator I haven't replaced in my 5D hippo is the front passenger one.

Buy quality from a decent supplier, take your time. and with a reasonable selection of tolls., it all comes right.
