Window Regulator Fitting

Sorry if this has been asked before, couldnt find it in search. Fairly new to this world.

Disco 1, drivers door regulator has eaten itself, got new one ready to go. Is there a knack to getting the regulator and motor assy into door? Old one came out with a struggle despite being in bits so suspect getting new one in complete could be tricky.

I assume you fit motor to regulator before putting into door?

Is it just a case of wiggling it through bottom hole in inside skin then fixing in place. Then dropping window into the retaining strip? Is there a simple knack i have missed?

Sorry, 20 questions, appreciate any thoughts to save my knuckles !

I did mine a few years ago and i assembled the reg and the motor in the door void. although I had to take it all apart and open the regulator a bit and re do it. I suspect the trade know of a 'knack'.
