Hi all, I am the new owner of a Freelander 2 TD4 GS (2014), my first car and an absolute dream come true.
I replaced the passenger wing mirror yesterday (after it was clipped and shattered by a passing van) by removing the door card, replacing the wing mirror, ensuring the mirror and powerfold worked and then reattaching the door card.
I've since gone to roll down the passenger the window (the side I worked on) and when fully opened and fully closed there is a loud clunk from somewhere behind the door card when the window settles at either position. I'm thinking that I've perhaps not reattached the wiring securely enough or maybe that the lip on the window seal is catching/momentarily stopping the window from fully opening/closing, stressing the motor for a moment, however, any guidance on potential causes and/or remedies would be appreciated. I didn't touch the window motor/regulator as I simply swapped out the wing mirrors.
One silver lining is that the window seems to be resting in a fully sealed/closed position as the car has remained dry overnight.
It's certainly something I can live with, however, being my first car and a vehicle I've grown up wanting for the longest time, I'd much rather get it fixed and hopefully learn a thing or two along the way.
