We are currently in possession of two Warn M8274-50 12 volt electric
winches. Complete start up kits including wire, cables, roller fair
leads, remote, solenoid pack etc., brand new only having been used for
display purposes. These are the best self recovery winches available,
their free spool speed is far quicker than any other winch. Normal rrp
is £1220+VAT, and yes, that is a lot when Fat Joe is selling his winches
for £500.
You get what you pay for, and in six years time will Fat Joe's winch
pull you out of the sticky stuff after many years of abuse and no
maintenance? Quite frankly I wouldn't want to find out. Anyway, they are
for sale for the sum of £1050 to include VAT, postage if applicable at
cost, and if you are very daring and want the pair, then they can be had
for £1975 including VAT.

I have no idea as I have no interest on electric winches, my comments were aimed
more at the sales babble and the fact that Mr Cable has a rather poor track
record in this (and other) groups.

Isnt it funny how we can be led by the comments of one, even though he
has probably had no dealings with us, old proverb say pot calling the
kettle black!

He must have said what he did for a reason though. Maybe he knows someone
who did deal with you and lost.

Glad you replied Simon as I my server didn't pick up the reply from Mr Cable.

I've had no dealings with him so I can't comment on anything other then his
spam.

Well I remember this exact same post appearing a few months ago, either you
have a lot of 'ex display' winches about, or you are up to something dodgy.
Either way, this is not a commercial advert forum, so please take it
elsewhere.

It's not exactly unfeasible that he could have decided to replace the
winches on display a couple of months back, selling the others off. The ones
that went on display now could be looking a little "played-with", so time to
get some fresh ones out.

Possible, but I cant see anyone getting rid of 2 identical winches, only to
replace them with another 2 identical winches, only to sell those off cheap
at a loss of £400 per winch. Generally display winches stay on display until
they are superceded, you wouldnt expect them to get replaced evey couple of
months.
Sorry but it just smells fishy.
