Will these fit my Disco Disco 2

Hi all,

Need some advice from you knowledgable folks. I am looking to buy a set of L322 Range Rover Alloys Tyre size: 255/50/20.

Will they fit my disco 2?

The stud pattern should fit, but even if you can get them inside the wheelarches you wouldn't like the ride one bit.

I've got standard 16" ones and have a slow puncture on the front drivers side and the passenger side is going bald.

I'm taking the vehicle of roading so a large wheel will suit it better so thought if I need to replace the tyres there are some decent deals on spare and repairs Discos and range rovers for there tyres.

I don't get your reasoning?

I've got 18" wheels on mine.
I've also had 16" ones on
both were more or less the same size with the tyres fitted

My standard setup is on 18" wheels and my winter setup is on 16" ones.
The difference between them is quite significant; much smoother on the 16's and a lot harder and bumpier on the 18's.
Why would you want to go to 20's?

Absolutely not true, because you've got a larger rim you've got a lower profile tyre fitted which is the worst thing to have fitted when off roading.

How good do you think a low profile tyre will be at going over rough ground?

Cack that's the answer, would you bump up and down curbs with low profile tyres on and expect not to damage or bend the rim

I appreciate I drive a Defender but these are what I have fitted

If you do buy 20" rims please could you invite me to come with you though cos I could do with a laugh

Larger alloy, larger tyre (without looking like a rubber ring is attached). I didn't say I was getting low profile tyres either. I was merely going for a decent alloy to a) look better than the crappy standard ones, b) lift my diff off the ground more. c) more footprint.

What's the largest profile tyres size for a 20" rim then?

Take a look at this

My tyres are wider and taller even though the rims are only 16", you may also find getting a decent all terrain tyre is nigh on impossible for 20" rims as they are definitely a more road biased size

for off-roading you want as much rubber between you and the ground as possible. you can get huge tyres on 16" rims which will give you just as much ground clearance. theres only a certain point to which you can fill your wheel arches!

I've found some 18" from a ES with new tyres on which i'm going to source for normal use and then keeps the 16" and put all terrain for when I go to morocco.

Will these fit my Disco Disco 2
