I'm a bit confused about colour schemes on the Defender - why do some have white roofs and logos down the the side and others are all the same colour? I guess it's down to age but I can't work when things changed. Ditto wheel arches - some coloured and some black?

Regards, Jon,

i dont know when the wheel arches became colour coded. the white roof i think is standard? and the option is to have it coloured with the rest of the body. someone will correct me if i am wrong!

well it depends on how old it is, ive seen old B plates with colour coded roof's. i guess if you have it resprayed, why not do the roof too? wheel arches get colour coded all the time. mines a B plate and thats colour coded! not sure about the county stickers. all i know is, if i bought one with county stickers they would be ripped off 1st thing!

LRF is prob right, you would have to pay extra for colour roof if buying from new.

think the county strips are on landy's with cloth seats and a sunroof... there may be other extras, but these are the most obvious.

does that cover it?
