iam looking for some help in trying to find the whining noise that has developed, while returning from our yearly trip to cornwall from manchester i noticed the noise coming from the front of the landy it seem to be more noticable when traverling up hill at a speed of 60 - 65 mph.
when driving around town there is only a slight whineing noise when first driving from cold. the noise is preasent in 3rd 4th 5th gears when driving up hill any help would be greatfull.

Now it could be that Mrs Boy was whittering away on your long journey, or, the usual suspects of diffs, prop bearings or transfer box.

Hi, Widjet

Just checked out your Lake District Run. Looks like you had a good day out. You will have to give me a shout when you are next in the Lakes, if you don't mind, I have just started green laning and are looking for some good runs.

Cheers Taz

PS I liked the colour coded convoy - Would this mean I would have to re-paint mine in Blue? :)

Cheers Taz. We make it up there 2 or 3 times a year back to the folks - so will shout next time.

Where abouts are you?

RE the colour co-ordinated laning weekend - thanks for the kind words about the pix. That was a 50th Anniversary regsiter laning weekend a couple of weeks ago. All 50ths are Atlantis Blue (which is a switch colour). I've got 3 MOT certficates that says blue, and 2 that say green (depending on whether the sun was shining!)

Did you see the Wales pictures too? The same set are in September's Land Rover Monthly Magazine in an article called 'Down on the farm'.

Yes saw your pics in LRM.

Looks like a good place to stop for the weekend. Some of the routes look rather severe. Are they child friendly (My little Lad loves to come with me in the Landy)?

If you are coming to my neck of the woods I may be able to arrange the use of a local offroad site (Old Mine)

It has been used for various events and can be quite challenging

Look forward to hearing from you

Taz :D

There's plenty of child friendly stuff, we just had a couple of Landys in the group that like to stretch their suspension:)

Old Mine sounds interesting, will be in touch when next planning a trip to the Lakes.
