Whine from transfers box?

Taking about transfer box's, mine has developed a whine like a tube train. I'm thinking bearings but not sure. Tried with front prop off and still there. Will take rear off tomorrow to see if there's any difference. How hard is it to replace bearings? Any special tools needed.
I think this all started after I had it doe,d. Had a rumbling as soon as I drove it out of the testing station. Drove it with prop off for a bit and rumbling went away. Maybe damage was done to centre diff on brake test and this is the consequence of it
Any ideas gratefully accepted.

This is what it says on the fuse box cover about testing the brakes on a rolling road or brake tester -

A single axle roller rig may be used for speeds up to 5km/h. The centre
differential lock must be disengaged. For roller tests over 5km/h, either
all four wheels must be rotated at the same speed or if only a single axle
roller rig is available, the centre differential must be locked and the
propeller shaft to the stationary axle must be removed.

I haven't got that on mine and I doubt the tester knows.

Best check how they've did it then incase they've buggered up the centre diff or the whole box

Its not a difficult job. Best off with the box on the bench. Ashcroft sell a rebuilt kit. If one set of bearings has gone I’d look carefully at the rest. If you’re thinking complete rebuild might just be easier to get a recon box
