I'm going to be fitting a new double DIN stereo soon, and I can see which fascia plate I need to get to do this, but I really have very limited knowledge with it comes to anything electrical, and I'm rather dreading doing this job, but I'm up for giving it a go.

However, I've seen a couple of wiring harnesses that are apparently for my vehicle, and they both look a bit different from one another.

Can someone tell me a part number, or ideally, link me to the actual product I need to buy please.

Someone might have better info, but in the freelander you should have stock ISO plugs on the wiring loom that will plug right into the loom or sockets supplied with the head unit.

Not in the Facelift SE. It uses a Vestion double din HU with it own custom plug. There's a harness adapter available for the task. Make sure you get the adapter with the steering wheel switch converter, or the wheel switches will be just ornamental;)
