Which stereo?

Hi all!
1996 DSE,Its got the radio (pic) with 6 cd in boot,,Also has steering wheel buttons that dont work...
I have fitted the Harmon Kardon Speakers,and so know i have no amps in the doors...Also in the n/s boot panel i have a square white plug (6 wire i think,sugar cube sized) thats not used....
Can anyone please advise:-
1) If the white plug is the correct plug to connect the bass speaker ?
2) The steering wheel buttons are connect to a printed ribbon in the wheel..what connections am i looking for on the back of the stereo to see if alls connected? (Before i replace the buttons incase of not working)..im sure ive only got 2 large ISO plugs..
3) ive just read on the net that this stereo HAS to have the amps in the doors,to work properly?(mine deffinately hasnt)

Do you know the part number for this radio as I need the other one without the CD in boot. I have 2 part numbers but dont know which one is which. I think that the part number I require is pu-9837a rover part no prc7617.

Any ideas
