Which discs?

Hi,

the time has come to replace the front brake discs on my 04 Freelander and looking on paddock spares I see there are a couple of options. One set are unamed discs with Mintex pads for £44.49 and Mintex discs with Mintex pads for £58.50. is it work paying the extra or will the cheaper ones be ok?

Yes it's worth paying the extra for the quality mintex. Cheaper discs can be made from inferior quality material which can be more prone to warping under heavy braking & don't last as long as quality items. They also will be very roughly finished rather than nicely machined quality items & could easily cut you if you're not careful during install though this is less of a problem.

It's only £14! and they are your brakes, spend the extra!
