I have just bought a lightweight which has an electric fuel pump mounted under the drivers seat and I am thinking of moving it due to the noise. ( A bit like mounting it on a drum!)
Has anyone got any recommendations of where to move the pump/return valve & filter to?

id go back to the original mechanical lift pump

Depends on the pump - ideally lower than the tank. Have you got it mounted on rubber mountings? Is it a Facet type? [looks like a cylinder unions on the side] if it is a facet they are noisy buggers......... but well mounted it's more of a "thrumming" noise [if that's a word] road noise and V8 ought to drown it out - good luck

The electric fuel pump on my straight 6 is mounted on the rear wards face of the crossmember behind the gearbox. You can hear it ticking from the cab without the engine on but with the engine on its drowned out.
