Hello!

i currently have my compressor sat on the rear seat, it was placed there for testing and hasnt been moved in a month or so, because it was high, dry and, er comfy :D

anyway, i need to decide on a place for permanent install.

it would be nice to have it out of sight so that the casual thief doesnt immediatly know there's a thousand pounds worth of diffs in my axles. the immediate idea is to mount it front inner wing, but then it is susceptible to the usual mudbath that everything else gets under there - will this be a problem? i suppose if it gets submerged its gonna be real bad news.

SO, where do i put it?

i also thought about centre cubby box, it fits nicely in there, but then i lose my only decent bit of reliable dry storage for mobile phones etc when off roading, unless i can section off the cubby box and still leave a bit of space for belongings. if it doesnt end up in the cubby box i did think i could get a shower cap to cover it if it has to be on display!

i request other ideas/experiences please!!

cheers, sam

I'd mount it in the engine bay somewhere but try to waterproof it ...;)

I guess a lot depends how often, and for how long, you wade that deep.

is you mad:eek:

i would never mount a compressor in the engine bay, theres 2 much heat, probably the odd oil leak and not too mention mud, water when you play offroad..

all the arb installs i have seen have the compressor mounted either behind the front seats in a fender or mounted along the inside roofline in a disco..

Cheers for the ideas guys, I'm gonna pass it around the interior a bit.

Considering making a bracket to sit it behind the centre cubby box too, legroom dependent.

:D
